Happy National Pizza with the Works Except Anchovies Day, Beautiful People! There are definitely no anchovies on this one, but only fruit and berries, and some non-dairy whipped cream. You can use is as a fruit salad or a dessert, but no matter at which point you serve it, you will surprise your Thanksgiving guests with Cranberry Pizza for Thanksgiving
Fun:)

I’ve made ‘dessert’ pizzas using a chocolate chip cookie crust but the fruit slices sounds even better. And I love the cranberry sauce. 🙂

Thank you! That was a last minute Thanksgiving special last year, and everybody loved it. I’ve also made Mexican pizza with tortilla chips, Turkish salad, guacamole, fake sour cream, and sliced black olives. That was a big hit with grandkids.

My husband is with me in France, returning to the US next Monday and will have Thanksgiving with his son. I asked him what they would be making and of course got a blank look (last year, I cooked and LOVED it!). Well, I’ve got the main and trimmings sorted (not to hard that bit) but I think this might be exactly what they would love for a desert … I shall suggest it!

Thank you so much; I am honored! I do have a non-traditional pumpkin pie recipe which I will re-post closer to Thanksgiving, but this one is, of course, much easier and doesn’t involve baking.
Thanksgiving is still emotionally challenging for me, as are all holidays, because we used to take my father and stepmother out for a five-star Thanksgiving dinner, and the last year of his life he wasn’t able to go already, so I cooked, packed it all up, and brought it to him. That was the last holiday he was able to enjoy!

The no baking will suit them perfectly! Holidays can be so bittersweet … the fragility of life is in sharpest relief at times when we immersed in our family tradition and then one so loved is not physically in the room any more. I wish you peace in your sadness and joy in evolving new traditions that encompass his living spirit and resting place in your lovely heart that he was so integral in nurturing 💛

I will be thinking of you on the day …. I intend to have my own little celebration of thanks here by myself and you will be included in the things I am grateful for in my life and I will send my warmest thoughts winging to you on a day that will always feel a little strange for you without your beloved Papa alongside 🙏 ❤️ 🌈

As I will be thinking of you and thanking the A-mighty that our paths have crossed in the strange world of electronically transmitted feelings and thoughts. Your kindness and compassion will strengthen me, as I repeat my Father’s Thanksgiving toast, “I thank this country for taking us in! G-d bless America!”

What a wonderful toast from a man who had seen the darkest of nights and understood the salvation that freedom and a country that embraces it really offers. I echo every one of your thoughts in this message 🙂

Wow! I would love this as the tartness of cranberry on pizza crust would make it a nice dessert!!😃

Thank you, darling, but there is no crust in my recipe! It’s all an illusion: mango slices make an illusion of a pizza crust. Of course, you can pile up cranberry sauce and the rest of it on a real pizza crust and enjoy it – be daring! 😻
