Korean Beet Salad

I just made this salad today and thought it worth repeating for those of you, Beautiful People, who have not seen it the first time around. Enjoy!

This is probably the shortest post I’ve written so far. It’s like those before and after pictures – good for a contrast between the two of them, and there is nothing more to say.

So here is the “before.” I simply used the basic recipe for Korean carrot salad (found here) and did the same with beets. There were two Korean villages near Odessa, and the farmers used to bring to the market outrageous size carrots, onions, and garlic. I remember that we actually called them “Korean onions” etc. as if it were a name brand. Because of that, Korean carrot salad was quite common in our house. I hear that now Korean cuisine…

        Beets were never my favorite. Then we started making a magic juice almost very regular at home. Apples/Beets/Carrots (ABC) & a bit of ginger and Lemon. That was out of the world for my workouts. Then on slowly started liking beets 🙂

    1. You are too kind, Michael. I have no idea of food decoration! I cheat the audience by a combination of antique dishes and cat miniatures. When I made my father’s 85th birthday party (may he rest in peace now), I hired a food artist. I cooked and she made presentations,

      4. My great-grandmother was from Vienna, graduated from Vienna University, was one of the first women who were actually issued degrees. She insisted that Goethe and Heine could never be appreciated in translation. That’s why my German is not a spoken language, but I can read.

      9. I think Austrians are much more friendly and not as complicated as Germans. In Germany we always recurring this former “Prussian-style”.
