Turmeric and Cumin Roti Wraps and a Giveaway!

Dear Beautiful People, I am sharing this post with you not only because of a delicious Roti Wrap recipe (we love Roti!), but also to inform you that all Namaste products, except soups, are kosher under Square-K certification. Feel free to explore them!

Easy recipe for gluten free, protein-rich, healthy, versatile wraps!

#Indianfusion #easy #recipe for #glutenfree roti wraps with the goodness of turmeric, dal and yogurt Gluten free Turmeric and Cumin Roti Wraps

What kind of wrap sandwich do you reach for? For me, the outside wrap itself and the โ€˜fillingโ€™ both have to be mouthwatering and healthy at the same time. In my quest to find gluten free wraps, I found that the store bought ones had so many additives and the texture felt rubbery . Plus they cost so much more than regular wraps ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

So I have been toying with the idea of making my own gluten free wraps. You know how much I enjoy exploring new products and creating new recipes with them. I am happy and grateful that Indfusedโ€™s readers like my creations and that I can share my honest opinions with you all.

This is being made immediately, practiced to perfection and created when my eldest daughter (seriously gluten intolerant) comes to stay … thank you Dolly – she loved roti and misses it so much!

I’ve asked my husband to see if he can find Namaste in the supermarket. He flies to Germany tonight and to me on Tuesday for a week so it felt like an opportunity too good to miss ๐Ÿ˜‰

      2. I haven’t had a chance to try any of their products myself yet because the stores are closed and, anyway, we are under curfew by governor’s orders, but as I am reading comments, they should be excellent. I am looking forward to giving them a test drive!

Dolly this is fabulous! My gluten intolerant daughter (the eldest) will prostrate herself with thanks for drawing my attention to this because before she was diagnose as a teenager she was addicted to rotis. And that spice mix … right up her street – she’s a turmeric fiend. I send her hugs to you and wish you a wonderful and SAFE – please stay safe with this very angry Irma on the loose – weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hugs right back to your daughter from another roti addict and turmeric fiend – myself!
We are staying where we are for Shabbos, and then, depending on the weather dynamics, might pack up our three kitties and go visit friends who have four of their own, so ours will be in good company. ๐Ÿ˜ป

Of course the French have been reporting like crazy because two of their DOMs were devastated. It normally infuriates me when countries only report when their own are affected but this time at least I feel connected to something that I know is having such a dreadful impact on several I know. You included. Kitty chaos whilst you sit it out with friends seems like a good solution to me. Bisous to you all

      2. I thank you sincerely for your concern; I am truly touched by the outpouring of phone calls, texts, and e-mails, but – NOTHING HAPPENED HERE! Impetuous Irma changed her mind, stopped in Cuba (I hope all my students’, colleagues’, friends’ families are safe!) and is now lazily moving west. We have a heavy rain and string wind, but both are usual at this time of the year.
I am concerned about friends on the West coast of Florida, as well as some who evacuated TO the West coast of Florida. We are praying for their safety!

Everywhere I am reading turmeric is the heal all for everything. I need to start adding it to things. Does it have a smell while cooking ? I am sensitive to really strong smells like curry I cannot do

    1. Sweetheart, I use fresh grated turmeric root, and doesn’t have any smell, but I don’t know about powdered spices. I grate fresh turmeric into so many things, even into tea!

      2. My pleasure, darling, and bear in mind that there are two types of turmeric, yellow and white. White has a slight lemony taste, very nice in drinks and desserts.

Hi Bethanyk! Just a word of caution regarding turmeric (especially the fresh root): make sure you wear gloves when handling it! It stains everything, fingers, dishes, like crazy. Bleach does remove the stains though. Take it from another frequent turmeric user ๐Ÿ˜‰.
I sometimes make turmeric ginger and white pepper tea to give our immune system a little boost. We drink it straight, no sugar. It seems to help with colds when drunk at their onset.

      1. Thank for your comment, dear Joelle! I make a similar tea, but instead of pepper, I use fresh aloe juice, which makes it bitter, so I add agave and mint. I don’t know about colds, but it’s a great detoxer.

Hi Dolly, glad to know you are safe. I will never forget what we here call “la tempรชte de 1999”, when winds raged throughout the night, removing tiles from our roof. The horrible feeling in my stomach took years to go away. Every time we had some wind I would start panicking. So I can only just begin to imagine what it must have felt like for all the people hit by hurricanes Harvey and Irma. And then they have to face a lot more than just a damaged roof. We prayed for everyone affected by the storms in church last weekend.
    Stay safe, Dolly.

    1. Thank you so much for your concern and your prayers, dear Joelle! Here in South Florida, we are used to hurricanes and tropical storms, so we don’t panic, but we still don’t have power. We are staying with friends and having a good time.
