This Thanksgiving I celebrated two holidays. That’s right, TWO. While the rest of America was enjoying their turkey and their stuffing, November 24th was Thanksgiving and Christmas for us! Because we wouldn’t see my family on Christmas day, we decided to exchange gifts an entire month earlier around a Christmas tree while listening to holiday music and sipping holiday drinks.

Best. Idea. Ever.

So now it’s December 2nd and I’m completely done with my Christmas shopping. While this should be cause for celebration, I’m quickly realizing that this is also really dangerous. My inbox has been filled with sales for: pre-Black Friday, Black Friday, pre-Cyber Monday, Cyber Monday and extended Cyber Monday (also known as Tuesday).

I’m usually good at deleting them before I open them to avoid all temptations, but occasionally a few will slip through leading me to have conversations like this:

“Do I need to invest in this Pet Sweep? Couldn’t I just attach Swiffer dusters to the bottoms of their little feet and let them loose in the house?”
